Making the decision to come and speak to someone is not easy. It takes courage to make that choice, to follow through by making an appointment, and then actually attending that appointment with your chosen therapist. Therapy may be one of the most important and rewarding experiences you do. Your therapist will be there to “walk” alongside you on your journey in a safe, confidential, genuine, non-judgmental private space where you can express yourself, be heard and explore new ways of being. This relationship will help you grow and find answers to things that are distressing or challenging you. You will gain insight into yourself, and you might implement changes to enable you to be happier in yourself and in your relationships. My style of therapy is primarily based on the Rogerian principles of the Person-Centered approach to psychotherapy. At the heart of this approach is the therapeutic relationship.  It emphasises the client's capacity for self awareness and self-healing. Combining this psychotherapy with a "Solutions Focused" application helps to keep the sessions focused on identifying challenges and then working together to find an outcome or way forward.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself
just as I am, then I can change” — Carl Rogers

I offer counselling therapy for Individuals and couples. Since the 2020 pandemic, my counselling is 100% online only.

Prior to establishing my private practice, I worked for an organization in disadvantaged communities offering counselling services to students and staff. I am a counsellor for the trauma room at a local police station.
